Trearched Farmhouse

Project Story

Welcome to Trearched Farmhouse – a beautifully restored home with parts of the original structure dating back to pre 1797, in deed the farmstead dates back to Tudor times.

When the current owners purchased the property, it was only partially renovated. Since then, together we have lovingly transformed it into a truly exceptional residence.

With a clear commitment to preserving its character, many original features have been retained or carefully uncovered. Carreg undertook an extensive renovation, including the installation of a beautiful reclaimed slate roof, full replacement of floors, restoration of the original Victorian triple sash windows, rebuilding of stonework chimneys, and tanking of the cellar – a substantial and meticulous project. The original simnai fawr (inglenook fireplace chimney) has been carefully restored and is now the major feature of the living room with a modern log burner installed for cosy evenings.

The result is a home finished to the highest standards, featuring a hand-painted Harvey Jones kitchen and utility, Crittall-style windows and doors to the rear, and elegant oak parquet flooring detailed with a brass inlay border.
