A St David’s Renovation & Extension

Project Story

Situated in the centre of Wales’ smallest city this Victorian house needed a complete gut-out to give it a new lease of life. A proposed extension is to be added to the kitchen/living space, creating an open and contemporary feel while keeping in mind the original character of this Victorian house.

  • Year of Design

Having compiled our research on nearby properties in St David’s, it came apparent that the front door and windows needed some attention. We came up with a bespoke design that would require a joiner to manufacture and give this beautiful house a unique identity while making sure it was in keeping with the rest of the street.

The main hallway will create a lovely flow in to the new open plan Kitchen/Living area, creating an environment that fulfils the clients needs. The main Kitchen space will host a large kitchen island, stairwell to first floor, living area and a clever pocket door system to create a simple closed off private area in the dining room when necessary.

As part of the extension, the utility will run off the back of the living area, creating space for a new WC and all utilities such as the washer/dryer, boiler, boot store and hanging rail.

When specifying items for this property it was our priority not to loose the identity and history, carefully sourcing items that would compliment the character of the build. We worked with the client to ensure that every little detail was worked through thoroughly, from the bespoke chamfered edges on the doors, to the size of the floor tiles in the Bathroom.

No stone was left unturned.
